Who is Kody Daffer?
Kody Daffer Nampa is a husband, father, and homeowner who understands firsthand the challenges facing Nampa, Idaho families. After marrying his wife Kylie in 2021, they bought their first townhome and welcomed their son in Nampa. Like many young families in the area, they quickly learned how competitive the Nampa housing market has become—outbid on multiple homes by cash buyers and ultimately settling into the only house they could secure, without the yard they had hoped for. These experiences gave Kody a personal stake in important issues such as housing affordability, responsible growth, and family safety in Nampa.
Kody believes that working families in Nampa deserve a voice in local government, which inspired him to run for City Council. He is committed to ensuring that everyday residents have input on decisions that affect their neighborhoods, schools, and city services. His firsthand experiences with housing and family life give him a unique perspective on the challenges facing Nampa households today.
Professionally, Kody has a background in Nampa real estate and land development, where he gained a deep understanding of how community growth impacts infrastructure, housing costs, and city planning. He currently serves on the Nampa Planning & Zoning Commission, where he has seen that most resident frustrations stem not from opposition to growth, but from unclear communication and lack of access to information. Kody brings both practical experience and a personal perspective to the challenges facing Nampa residents and neighborhoods.
With a focus on transparency, smart growth, and family-centered policies, Kody Daffer Nampa aims to represent the interests of the community, improve communication between residents and city leaders, and help Nampa continue to grow as a safe, welcoming place where families can thrive.

"Kody is deeply committed to ensuring housing remains affordable for Nampa families. He understands that while many new jobs have come to the city, rising apartment development has made it harder for residents to keep up with housing costs. With his background in land development, Kody brings a thoughtful perspective on balancing growth with affordability, and I believe he would serve the community well."
